Sooji & Bread toast

Standard

Hello All,

Today I made one of the most quick yet tasty recipe that is “Sooji & Bread Toast”. It takes about 10 minutes to prepare this mouth watering dish. Because of it’s simplicity I would recommend all to try it once!

Kids are gonna love it !!!!

Here goes the recipe………..

Ingredients:

1 cup Semolina (Sooji)

1/2 cup cream

4-5 Bread Slices

1 medium sized onion

1 tomato

2-3 Spring onions

1-2 green chillies (depends on taste)

1 tbsp. salt

1/4 tbsp. red chilli powder

1-2 tbsp. of ghee/ butter

You can add more veggies like carrot, corn, peas etc according to your taste.

Method:

Mix Semolina and cream in a bowl. It should come out as a thick paste. And if the paste is very thick add 2-3 tbsp. of milk to it. Now add all the chopped veggies to it. Mix well and add salt and red chilli powder. The mixture is ready 🙂 So Simple!! 🙂

Now take the slices of bread and cut its outer edges. If you wish you can use the whole bread without cutting its edges. Apply the paste on one surface of the bread slices.

Heat a pan on medium heat. Apply some butter or ghee on the pan. Now put the bread slices on the pan, with the mixture coated surface below. Toast the bread slices on medium or low heat as the semolina takes time to get cooked properly.

Toast the bread from both the sides till it is light brown in colour. Cut the bread slices in to desired shapes and serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup!!!!!

YAaaaayyyy…!! Enjoy!!
🙂 🙂 🙂

About Ankita

Hello All, "No one is born a great cook, one learns by doing." I was never into cooking nor i was a foodie. But recently, after my marriage, i developed this new hobby. All thanks goes to my husband. He is a big time foodie, a great cook and a solid critic and above all an amazing photographer. From him, i learned the basics of cooking & started showing interest. This blog is a result of encouragement and appreciation which i always get from my family & friends. I basically belong to the historical city Gwalior (M.P). Presently, my abode is New Jersey (US). So i spend most of my time in cooking and trying new recipes. I am a fun loving, down-to-earth and a spiritual person (i guess). My ideology is "What you do, so shall you fill". I firmly believe in Karma. Karma comes after everyone eventually. So one shall mind their deeds. Being a classical singer my Love for Music (mainly Indian) is never ending. Music makes my day. My interests also include calligraphy, meditation and as a proud wife of a good photographer and a very good cook i have started showing interest in these areas also. This is all about me! Thank you and I invite all to share their recipes and give their valuable suggestions..!! Good Day!! Enjoy!!
