A delight for Chocolate Lovers..!!! 🙂
These cookies are soft from inside and crisp from outside. Can be enjoyed with milk !!!! But, as they are full of butter, so the calorie content is quite high. These cookies can be enjoyed anytime, with kids or guests at home..!!
The baking time of the cookie matters the most. It should be calculative, which comes by more and more practice.
The recipe goes here…..
2 cups All purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar*
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder (optional)
1/2 tbsp. Vanilla essence
Caramel syrup (optional)
1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips or chunks
a pinch of salt
In a bowl, mix togetherbutter (at room temperature) and sugar. They can be mixed in a electric mixer. Mix them till they become light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes. Add egg, vanilla extract and caramel syrup and beat for 1 more minute.
In a medium bowl whisk together all purpose flour and cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients all at once to the butter and egg mixture. Mix them well for another 3-4 minutes.
Now add the chocolate chips. Put this mixture in the refrigerator for around 10 minutes.
Cover the baking tray with a baking sheet. Scoop the dough on the tray leaving about 2-inches between each dough ball.
Now put the cookie tray in a preheated oven (350 degrees F). Bake for 11 to 12 minutes or until cookies are just done. It is even ok if these cookies are slightly under baked. Try not to over bake them.
Once the cookies are done, move them on a cooling tray. Let them cool & then enjoy the delicious cookies !!!
Tip: If brown sugar is not available, just increase the amount of white sugar.
Instead of baking sheet, silver foil can also be used.
It is not necessary to put the dough in the refrigerator. Cookies can be bake directly. Putting the dough in refrigerator just makes it smoother.
